Is an all-inclusive wedding worth it in Austin? An honest guide

All-inclusive wedding venue in Austin, Texas — reception setup in the climate-controlled hall at The Grand Lady.

I’ll be honest about something.

For years, “all-inclusive wedding package” was sort of a four-letter phrase in the wedding industry. If you’ve been searching for all-inclusive wedding venues in Austin, you’ve probably noticed that most of them are vague about what’s actually included — and even vaguer about what it costs. The reputation, fairly or not, was that all-inclusive meant compromised. Mediocre catering. A florist nobody asked for. A DJ with a laptop and a dream. A package designed to make the venue’s life easier, not yours.

Looking for the package itself? Our all-inclusive wedding packages page has the full vendor list and a sample budget. This post is the honest answer to a different question: is all-inclusive actually worth it for you?

And so for a long time, I refused to build one. We’d watch couple after couple come tour Grand Lady completely overwhelmed by wedding planning — paralyzed by how many vendors they had to find, vet, contract, and coordinate — and I’d think, there has to be a way to take this off their plate without lowering the quality of what they’re getting.

So we finally built the version of an all-inclusive package I’d actually recommend to a friend.

It’s available for the 2026 and 2027 seasons. It’s not for everyone — and I want to be really clear about who it’s for and who it isn’t, because the wrong fit isn’t fun for anyone. Here’s the honest version.

What’s actually in our package

The Grand Lady’s all-inclusive wedding package in Austin bundles six vendors into one curated lineup with prearranged pricing: venue, catering and rentals, bar, florals, day-of coordination, and DJ. One reservation agreement starts the process. Each vendor still has their own contract — but the relationships, pricing, and scope are already negotiated for you.

The Grand Lady all-inclusive package bundles six vendors into one curated package, with all the pricing prearranged. Here’s what you get:

  • The venue — Exclusive use of Grand Lady from 10 a.m. to midnight, including the 1881 mansion (4,000 sq ft, 8 rooms, two wedding suites with private bathrooms), the climate-controlled reception hall, the gardens, and the grounds. Every ceremony spot on the property, plus a built-in rain plan at no extra charge.
  • Catering and tabletop rentals — Provided by Austin Catering, one of the most established catering companies in town. Linens, china, glassware, flatware, full-service staffing, and a menu that’s actually good.
  • Bar service — Provided by Peak Beverage, our in-house bar partner, with TABC-certified bartenders and full white-glove service.
  • Florals — Designed and grown by Grand Lady Floral, our in-house floral studio and on-site cut flower farm. Bouquets, boutonnieres, ceremony arrangements, and reception centerpieces.
  • Coordination — Day-of and partial-planning options provided by Plan On It Events & Design, who have coordinated dozens of weddings at Grand Lady and know the property inside and out.
  • Entertainment — DJ services from Premier Entertainment, including six hours of coverage, dedicated sound for ceremony and reception, and professional microphones.

Six vendors. One package. One conversation to start. (For a full picture of what’s included with weddings at The Grand Lady, the services page covers the venue-level inclusions that come with every booking.)

What’s NOT in our package

The all-inclusive wedding package in Austin does not include photography, videography, cake, hair and makeup, officiant, transportation, or stationery — those are personal-taste decisions you should make yourself. Sales tax and gratuity also sit outside the package. We have a curated recommendation list for every category not bundled in.

I’m going to tell you what’s not in the package right after the list of what is, because the worst feeling in wedding planning is finding out something wasn’t covered three weeks out. So:

The all-inclusive package does not include photography, videography, cake, hair and makeup, officiant, transportation, or stationery. Those are all personal-taste decisions, and we want you to make them yourself (we have a curated list of recommendations for every category — see the all-inclusive package details for the full list).

It also doesn’t include sales tax or gratuity. Real numbers, in real life, will always have those.

Pricing: the honest version

All-inclusive wedding package pricing in Austin at The Grand Lady starts around $21,000 for 75 guests, $25,000 for 100 guests, and $32,500 for 150 guests — subtotals before tax and gratuity. Bundled couples save roughly 13-16% versus booking each vendor separately. À la carte venue rental on its own ranges from $4,000 (weekday) to $14,500 (peak Saturday).

Let me give you actual numbers, because this is the part of every “all-inclusive package” page that wedding venues weirdly refuse to publish. Here’s a real sample budget for a Sunday in January, before tax and gratuity:

The savings come from preferred vendor pricing we’ve negotiated as part of the package. It’s not a sleight of hand — these are vendors that already work at Grand Lady all the time, and they’ve agreed to discount their rates for couples booking through this program.

If you want to bring the number down further, the most effective lever is guest count. Catering, bar, and floral all scale with headcount, so a 75-guest wedding is significantly cheaper than a 150-guest one — not because of any package discount, just because you’re feeding fewer people.

Why Sunday through Friday only

The Grand Lady’s all-inclusive wedding package in Austin is available Sunday through Friday — not Saturdays. Saturdays book at full rate a year out and the bundled vendors don’t have the flexibility on those dates to honor package pricing. On Sundays, weekdays, and Fridays there’s enough availability across every vendor to actually pass real savings to couples.

Yes — the all-inclusive package is available Sunday through Friday only. Not Saturdays.

Here’s the honest reason: Saturdays are our most-requested days. They book out a year or more in advance at full rate, and the vendors in our package don’t have the same flexibility on those dates. By offering the package on Sundays, weekdays, and Fridays — when there’s more availability across the board — we can pass real savings to couples and still make sure every wedding gets the best version of every vendor.

Still deciding on a day? Here’s our honest Friday vs. Saturday vs. Sunday comparison.

The upside for you, if you have any flexibility on day-of-week: Sunday and Friday weddings in Austin are underrated. Your guests have a lighter day, hotels are cheaper, your wedding doesn’t compete with everyone else’s. Friday weddings are basically a built-in long weekend for your out-of-town guests. (I am a Friday wedding evangelist. Don’t get me started.)

Who all-inclusive is actually for

All-inclusive wedding venues in Austin are best for couples planning out of state, on a short engagement, working with a real budget, or anyone who’d rather spend their engagement actually engaged than living in a vendor spreadsheet. They’re a poor fit if you have very specific vendor preferences, need a Saturday, or genuinely love the planning process and want full control.

The short version: if you want a curated team of pros and a clear total budget number before you commit, the package is built for you. If you have strong vendor opinions or a Saturday is non-negotiable, build your own team à la carte — both routes work at Grand Lady.

This package was built for a specific kind of couple. If you’re one of them, it’ll feel like a giant exhale. If you’re not, it’ll feel like a cage. Here’s the honest split.

You’ll love this package if:

  • You’re planning from out of state and don’t have the bandwidth to interview eight different vendors
  • You have a short engagement and need things to come together quickly — every vendor is already lined up and ready to start
  • You want to get married at one of the best venues in Austin but you’re working with a real budget. The renegotiated vendor pricing in this package is meaningfully cheaper than booking each one separately, and that savings is the whole point
  • You want a clear, transparent budget number before you commit
  • You hate decision fatigue and want a curated team of pros, not a scavenger hunt
  • You have any flexibility on day-of-week (Sunday, Friday, or weekday works for you)
  • You’d rather spend your engagement actually being engaged than living in a Google Sheet of vendor quotes

You’ll probably want a different option if:

  • You have very specific vendor preferences and a strong vision for who you want to work with
  • A Saturday wedding is non-negotiable
  • You love wedding planning and want full control over every choice
  • You have a planner you’ve already hired, or you’re doing it yourself

Both kinds of couples are great. We’re happy to host either one. This package is just designed for the first group.

How ours works

Booking an all-inclusive wedding package in Austin at The Grand Lady is a four-step process: tour and sign the package reservation, meet your planning team within days, customize each vendor’s piece directly with them on already-negotiated pricing, and show up married. You sign one reservation agreement up front; each vendor still has their own contract with their own customization options.

Four steps. That’s it. (No, really. I know every “how it works” section ever written claims to have a stupid-simple process. But this one actually is the whole thing.)

  1. Book. Tour Grand Lady, pick your date, sign the all-inclusive reservation agreement.
  2. Meet your planning team. Plan On It reaches out within days to walk you through the process, introduce you to each vendor, and give you the playbook. (You’ll still have us — the Grand Lady team — in the loop. Plan On It is the lead, not the only contact.)
  3. Tailor and confirm. You work directly with each vendor — Grand Lady Floral, Austin Catering, Peak, Premier — to customize your menu, your floral palette, your bar selections, your music. Each vendor has their own contract with their own customizations. The pricing is already negotiated.
  4. Show up. The hard part is done. You get married.

That’s the whole thing. The first time we ran a couple through this, the bride said “wait, that’s it?” twice. Yes. That’s it.

Frequently asked questions

The most common questions about all-inclusive wedding packages in Austin are about cost, what’s bundled, day-of-week availability, payment structure, and what can be customized. Below are the actual answers — no salesperson hedging.

How much do all-inclusive wedding venues in Austin cost?

Subtotals start around $21,000 for 75 guests, $25,000 for 100 guests, and $32,500 for 150 guests, before tax and gratuity. Pricing varies based on date, season, menu selections, bar package, and floral guest count. The package includes venue rental, florals, catering, bar, coordination, and DJ.

What does an all-inclusive wedding package in Austin TX typically include?

Six vendors: venue rental at The Grand Lady, florals from Grand Lady Floral, bar service from Peak Beverage, event management from Plan On It Events & Design, catering and tabletop rentals from Austin Catering, and DJ services from Premier Entertainment. Photography, cake, hair and makeup, and other specialty vendors are not included.

Are all-inclusive wedding venues available on Saturdays?

The all-inclusive package is available Sunday through Friday year-round. It is not offered on Saturdays. Seasonal venue and bar promotions are available periodically — ask us when you tour.

Do I pay everything to The Grand Lady up front?

No. You sign a reservation agreement to lock in the package, then contract individually with each vendor. Each vendor has their own payment schedule (most require 50% at contract signing and 50% closer to the wedding). The Grand Lady has prearranged the relationships and pricing — the contracts are still between you and each vendor.

Can I customize the menus, florals, and bar?

Yes. The packages include base menus and standard inclusions, but every vendor is fully customizable. Want a different cocktail? Swap one in. Want a specific floral palette? That’s the floral consultation. Want family-style instead of buffet? Done. Customizations may change pricing, but you’ll always know before you commit.

Can I swap out one of the included vendors and still get the package pricing?

Unfortunately, no. The pricing is built around having all six vendors as a package. If you want to bring your own florist or your own caterer, that’s totally fine — we just wouldn’t be able to offer you the all-inclusive pricing on the rest. Standard a la carte venue rental is always an option.
