The Mansion
The Grand Lady is an 1881 mansion wedding venue on 20 acres of oak trees in Manor, about 25 minutes east of downtown Austin. She was moved to our land in the 1970s and restored in 2019. Today she's the heart of a property built for weddings: the mansion for getting ready, a modern reception hall for the party, and a half-acre flower farm out back.
When I started The Grand Lady, Austin was missing something. You could find historic charm, or you could find a modern reception space that wasn't a barn. Rarely both. So we put both on one property and planned every step between them.
On your wedding day, the mansion belongs to you, your wedding party and close family. Weekend rentals include 14 hours (weekdays, 12), so you can spend the whole morning getting ready in a comfortable house, with eight rooms to spread out, take photos and have a quiet minute before the ceremony.
The light. It comes in soft through the windows and the stained glass, and the oaks outside keep it gentle. Add custom milled woodwork and a wide front porch, and getting-ready photos come out beautiful. She still gets the most compliments on her porch.
Old houses are beautiful. They're not built to seat 250 people for dinner. That's why the party happens next door, in our 3,400 sq ft climate-controlled reception hall with floor-to-ceiling windows. Tables and chairs are included, and a covered brick breezeway gives you a real rain plan. Torn between historic and modern? Read historic vs. modern wedding venues in Austin.
Up to 250. The mansion itself is for the couple, the wedding party and close family.
Venue rental runs from $4,000 on weekdays to $14,500 for peak Saturdays, depending on day and season (taxes and fees not included).
About 25 minutes east of downtown Austin and 20 minutes from Austin-Bergstrom Airport.
