Meet The Grand Lady

A boutique wedding and event venue located in Austin, Texas

19704 Hog Eye Rd. | Manor, Texas

The Grand Lady team is composed of three families. We are architects, designers, and friends on a mission to create a meaningful space, just outside our city, where you can celebrate your wedding day in a way that matters deeply to you.

Our Mission

We offer a uniquely inspired space by blending the old and modern worlds into a fresh experience for discerning couples as they celebrate the beginning of their story together.

By taking something old and something new and blending it with Texas' natural beauty, we have created a unique wedding experience for you.

We believe in elegance, hospitality, and history. And fun

Every detail of the property has been diligently created with the help of industry professionals, to provide the perfect backdrop and layout for your day. The time and energy invested in selecting every item and finish has resulted in the creation of a space that is intentional.

Once a Wedding Gift, Always a Wedding Gift

The proud feature of the property, the historic mansion lovingly dubbed “The Grand Lady,” was built in 1881 as a wedding gift to William Wallace Walton and his wife from her father.

For this gift, no expense was spared, and the evidence of that lies in the ornate details throughout the home. Most notable are the hand-crafted stained glass windows that function as opulent works of art and provide the perfect hint of elegance in wedding photos. The custom details in the solid oak woodwork were crafted by local carpenters over 100 years ago.

Originally located in Bartlett, Texas, the Grand Lady later moved to her current home in Manor, Texas just 14 miles east of Austin, where she now rests on nearly 20 acres of land.

In 1911, to celebrate the birth of their first son, the family redesigned the Victorian-style home to its current Colonial style. They added more space, a second floor, and two wraparound porches while keeping touches of the original in the ornamental woodwork and stained glass windows.
These rich details have been maintained throughout the past century, but we have updated the furnishings to embrace a modern style and function.

Her Modern Updates

As a home built of and for celebrations, The Grand Lady has found her true calling as a wedding and event venue.

Your Chance to Add to Her History

With The Grand Lady, we provide space for everything you need on your wedding day so that you do not have to bounce from hotel to salon to church to party. We offer you the property for the whole day so that you can enjoy the space at its fullest.

The venue has multiple options for the ceremony and reception, and it can accommodate both small and large events. With our focus on event flexibility and open mindedness, we will build an event designed for your unique needs.

While other venues may try to box you into pre-designed packages and pricing, we try to meet you where you are and start building from there.

The Grand Lady’s welcoming and historic space will provide the purposeful organization and elegant details you have been looking for in a venue.
